Empowering upcoming city developers with futures literacy

New types of human capacities will be needed to achieve sustainable futures within our planet's limited boundaries. The capability thinking, i.e., literacy is among the required proficiencies. This research explores how engaging in studies methods develops upcoming city developers. Four student test groups, with altogether 373 participants, took part lectures and workshop activities two countries. study considers ability participate as first step towards empowerment. Following participation, three levels (Awareness - Discovery – Choice), should reached. Finally, brings it possibility participate, closing this loop finds that employed delivered these empowerment groups students. paper provides a practical framework concepts which can used systematic, participatory approach explore drivers change, link action. findings are equally useful for higher education teachers, attempting engage students action practising developers aiming level their communities.
